Classic Cheesy Potatoes

Ingredients and amounts:

2 lbs frozen hash browns
(I prefer diced hash browns)

1/2 cup diced onion

1/2 cup diced green peppers

1 can cream of chicken soup
-
1 16 oz container of sour cream
-
1 cup melted margarine or butter
-
16 oz sharp cheddar cheese (grated)

1 cup crushed potato chips
Cooking Instructions:
Thaw hash browns for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Set aside 8 ounces of cheese and crushed potato chips. Mix hash browns, onions, green peppers, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, butter and 8 ounces of the grated cheese. Placed in a greased 9 X 13 inch pan. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven; add 8 ounces of grated cheese and potato chips to top. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
